For the establishment of our new research division in timber construction at our Suhl site, we are looking for a committed Wood Technician (m/f/d) starting May 1, 2026 (initially limited until December 31, 2027).
The onboarding phase will take place at our Weimar site. The long-term workplace will be in Suhl as part of the development of the new research location.
- Support along the entire timber processing value chain
- Operation and maintenance of woodworking machinery and technical equipment
- Supervision of log sawing processes
- Quality control and sampling
- Participation in the setup of testing, experimental, and demonstration facilities
- Contribution to building new processes as part of establishing the competence center
- Optional: prefabrication and carpentry (timber construction)
- Completed vocational training as a wood technician, timber engineer, or comparable qualification
- Solid knowledge of timber processing
- Experience in handling woodworking machinery and technical systems
- Strong technical understanding and solution-oriented approach
- Structured, independent, and reliable working style
- Willingness to take responsibility in building new processes
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Very good German (native level or at least B2) and good English skills (at least B1), written and spoken
- Valid driver’s license (Class B)
