The field of measurement and automation technology of the institute is a modern equipped facility which processes a wide range of tasks. The main focus is on the quality assurance and monitoring in accordance with DIN ISO / EN 9000, in particular the derivation of product-specific quality characteristics.

Creation of metrological concepts

The range of services extends from the acquisition, processing and targeted utilization of information in mechanical engineering, construction and transportion, environmental protection and occupational hygiene to the development of new metrological concepts for special applications.

Measurements for research and industry

An interdisciplinary team of experienced staff, combined with modern equipment for the measurement of physical quantities ensures a comprehensive and professional support. Both research tasks as well as test stations of other departments of the institute are metrologically monitored and services are provided for the industry.
