Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG)

The Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG) has been in force nationwide since July 2, 2023, for all companies and public institutions with 50 or more employees. These entities are required to establish an internal reporting channel (e.g., a whistleblower system). The law aims to better protect individuals who report or disclose violations in the context of their professional activities. The goal of the Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG) is to protect whistleblowers from potential disadvantages and to provide them with legal certainty. This includes comprehensive protection of their identity.
