    The infrastructure of the IAB Weimar

The campus, accredited and independent testing laboratories, and technical equipment with an extensive inventory of modern testing and analysis technology belong to the infrastructure of the IAB. Individual test benches and small-scale technical facilities support the implementation of developed products into industrial production.

Campus

The IAB Campus comprises two office complexes, three test halls (Technikum I+II+III) and the laboratory building. With the Technikum III, a test hall with pilot plant was put into operation in 2019, in which the entire process chain for the production of recycled building materials can be researched.

Testting facilities

For experimental investigations, IAB Weimar has a testing laboratory accredited by the Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH (DAkkS) according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025: 2005. Free testing laboratories are the concrete testing laboratory, the building materials laboratory and the pipe laboratory.

Technical Equipment

IAB Weimar can draw on an extensive inventory of modern testing and analysis technology. In addition, individual test benches and small-scale technical facilities enable the implementation of developments in the industrial manufacture of products.
