The Institute for Applied Construction Research (IAB) Weimar is an innovative and industry-oriented research institute focusing on the development of new equipment, processes, and materials for the construction sector. With more than 120 employees, we have been supporting our partners and clients for over 30 years through practical research and development as well as application-oriented services.
To strengthen our Infrastructure Department within the Technical Systems Research Division, we are looking for a Research Associate in Civil and Pipeline Engineering as soon as possible.
- Preparation and processing of project proposals
- Conducting research, drafting research applications, and writing technical reports
- Presenting research results and services (technical presentations)
- Contributing to the editorial preparation of technical articles
- Supervising the test facilities of the Infrastructure Department
- Planning and executing investment projects
- Handling industry-related projects
- Successful completion of a university degree (Bachelor, Master, Diploma) in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Urban Water Management, Supply Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Energy Engineering
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering fundamentals
- Proficiency in German, both written and spoken
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a confident demeanor
- Independent and structured working style
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications
- Fluent German language skills (written and spoken) level B1-C2
